Beacon Journal staff reportMogadore firefighters responded to an incident involving a metal container that burst open at the Omnova Solutions facility late Monday, according to Beacon Journal news partner newsnet5.com.The container, filled with the chemical Divinylbenzene inside, got too hot outside the facility and burst open. The polymer company uses the chemical in the manufacturing process.Firefighters told newsnet5.com there was no threat to the general public and employees were not in danger.South Cleveland Road was closed in the area until around midnight.Workers at the Mogadore plant make polymers used in oil and gas, nonwoven materials, construction, tapes and adhesives and other specialty niches, The Mogadore facility employed about 75 employees last year, according to a Beacon Journal article.In 2014, Omnova Solutions relocated its headquarters from Fairlawn to Beachwood.
