Two people seriously injured in Durham crashes

Two people suffered serious injuries in separate crashes Saturday evening in Durham. The first crash occurred at 6:15 p.m. on Rabbit Road near the intersection with Hallowell Road, the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office said. A 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier was headed north on Rabbit Road when the driver, Hailey Bouchard, 26, of Brunswick, lost control and her car went off the road and rolled over, throwing her from the vehicle. Bouchard was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston by LifeFlight of Maine. A portion of Rabbit Road was closed to traffic while officers from the Lewiston Police Department reconstructed the crash. About 20 minutes later, a motorcycle crash occurred on Newell Brook Road.
