Goose Hollow was first home to Chinese farmers -- then gentrification, racist policies moved them

It's hard to tell now, but the West Hills were originally farmland. Vegetable gardens tended by Chinese immigrants covered the knobs of Goose Hollow. Within decades, gentrification and racist state and city policies had pushed the Chinese farmers out of the hills and vegetable vendors off the streets.
