PHOENIX (AP) — Gov. Doug Ducey is working to maintain his legislative majority with an independent expenditure committee. The Arizona Capitol Times reports (http://bit.ly/2cAtyDq ) that the committee Arizonans for Strong Leadership, which was formed by Ducey allies earlier this year to promote the public pension reform measure Proposition 124, will now focus on legislative races. Republican Ducey is focused on the state Senate, where Democrats are hoping for a rare 15-15 split.
