Best Bet: Spotlight turns to Colorado’s Irish history

Like many immigrants, the Irish played a vital role in the development of Colorado, especially the mining town of Leadville. Following a short kick-off and presentation at the Molly Brown House Museum on Sept. 29, Colorado Irish History Weekend events continue with a 6 p.m. Sept. 30 screening of “1916: The Irish Rebellion” at the Student Commons building on the Auraria Campus, followed by a day of events commemorating the “Leadville Irish” on Oct.
