Rod Greiner, Denver entrepreneur and philanthropist, dies at 86

Provided by Carrie MaKennaRod Greiner Rodney Earl Greiner, an entrepreneur, financial planner, philanthropist and owner of Denver’s historic Zang Mansion, died Oct. 5. He was 86. Greiner turned a career in life insurance into a successful run in financial planning in the 1970s and the formation of the American Zang Investment Council, headquartered in the 37-room Zang Mansion, at East Seventh Avenue and Clarkson Street. A longtime Kiwanis Club member and Rotarian, Greiner was a world traveler who hosted refugee families and exchange students from around the world.
