In June 2015, Haoqian Liu was sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to failure to file export information. Liu had agreed to cooperate with the federal investigation and testify against his co-defendant. His co-defendant, Warren Sumaylo, however, remains a federal fugitive. On Monday, Liu sought to reduce his probationary time, but a prosecutor objected.
