A toddler has died after being hit by car in West Valley City on Tuesday evening, police said. The incident occurred near 2700 South and 2900 West, police tweeted just before 5:30 p.m., when a person backing out of a nearby driveway did not see 19-month-old Grayson Gravin; the driver’s car struck the toddler. Grayson’s mother had left the child in the car as she went to open the door and take groceries inside the house, police said, but he unbuckled himself and exited the car.
