Sling becomes 6th most subscribed internet video service as the entire industry sees growth

More and more people are paying to watch video online and are not necessarily just switching between services for a better deal, says a new report that ranks Douglas County’s Sling TV as the nation’s sixth most popular service based on the number of paying subscribers. Parks Associates, a market researcher that surveys consumers on online TV-viewing habits, said that cord cutters and shavers (those downgrading from traditional pay TV service) are still the key customers.
