The driver who fatally struck an Aldine ISD student crossing a busy five-lane street has not been charged, but could face charges if a grand jury finds enough evidence to indict her, authorities said Thursday. MacArthur High School senior Jose Torres, 18, died just before 7 a.m. Wednesday after being hit by a pickup driven by a 33-year-old woman, who has not been identified.
