Dow Chemical CEO named chair of national Manufacturing Council by Trump

Dow Chemical Chairman and CEO Andrew Liveris will be heading the national Manufacturing Council, Republican President-elect Donald Trump announced Friday.  The news was announced at Trump's Friday night rally in the Grand Rapids area, which is part of his nationwide post-election thank you tour.  Liveris, who was born in Australia and has worked with Dow for 40 years, said during brief comments at the rally that the Midland-based company is committed to investing more in Michigan.  He said he was "tingling with pride" at the appointment and told the crowd he was excited to help promote manufacturing in Michigan and the rest of...
