Former library in Lone Tree to get face lift, open new chapter as a community center

For nearly 20 years, the odd-shaped building at the corner of Lone Tree Parkway and South Yosemite Street has been a community institution in Lone Tree. But the long-time Lone Tree library — built to look like an open book standing on end — was left hollow in 2016 when Douglas County Libraries moved into a larger, more modern facility in the RidgeGate neighborhood. Residents won’t wait long for new life to be breathed into the structure at 8827 Lone Tree Parkway.
