“Do you believe in the multiverse?” our petite and cheerful guide Angelina asked me when I told her what I do for a living, while navigating the rambunctious street’s of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. It was not a conversation I was expecting to have on a vegan street food tour in Vietnam, but as Angelina studies AI and VR (and as we are both avid Marvel fans), our chat took a turn down a dimensional rabbit hole. I wonder what kind of questions she would have for the founders of Multiverse Computing — a Spanish deeptech scaleup.

Bankman-Fried, 32, was convicted in November of fraud and conspiracy — a dramatic fall from a year earlier when he and his companies seemed to be riding a crest of success that resulted in a Super Bowl advertisement and celebrity endorsements from stars like quarterback Tom Brady and comedian Larry David. A jury found that Bankman-Fried illegally used money from FTX depositors to cover his expenses, which included purchasing luxury properties in the Caribbean, alleged bribes to Chinese officials and private planes. Prosecutors recommended a prison sentence of 40 to 50 years. “The defendant victimized tens of thousands of people and companies, across several continents, over a period of multiple years.

Prosecutors are pushing for 40-50 years, whereas the defense is seeking leniency due to Bankman-Fried being a non-violent first-time offender.
More | Talk | Read It Later | ShareGameSir announced the X2s a few weeks back and it certainly raised a lot of interest. An upgraded version of the X2 from a couple of years ago, especially now new iPhones all rock a USB-Type C port having ditched the Apple Lighting port opens up a whole new audience as well as the Android crew who could already utilize a device such as this. Combine this with an increased interest in mobile gaming, and a wider offering with things such as Xbox Cloud Gaming, could mean that the stars align for little hand-held controllers like this that you can just throw in your bag and whip out when you need to. GameSir sent us over an X2s for review, so we didn’t need to stump up the £50 asking price, but we will get into that later on.
More | Talk | Read It Later | ShareBy BEN FINLEY (Associated Press) When a 900-foot container ship struck the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge in 2007, the span stood firm and no one died, either on the ship or the highway above. The bridge’s supports were protected by a fendering system of concrete and other materials that was installed to absorb such strikes.
