Otis Taylor is an unconventional blues man, working the twang of a banjo into his tunes, taking on social causes in his music, and performing on his own schedule. Taylor once stopped touring for nearly two decades, and worked as an antiques dealer. Expect storytelling, original tracks and songs off his latest album, “Hey Joe Opus Red Meat,” which combines blues with Americana, jazz and psychedelic rock — the Otis Taylor Band’s interpretation of Jimi Hendrix’s version of “Hey Joe” included.
