Former Labor Secretary Tom Perez was elected the first Latino chairman of the Democratic National Committee Saturday after a contentious meeting that went to a second ballot. He defeated Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, the choice of the Bernie Sanders wing of the party, and will lead Democrats' efforts to recover politically.
