Man of Steel star Michael Shannon is reportedly the new frontrunner to play Cable in Deadpool 2. Variety reports that, while no deal has been agreed, Shannon has been the top choice at Fox for a week. Shannon is no stranger to comic book movies, having played General Zod in Man of Steel.
