By Randy Ellis Staff Writer rellis@oklahoman.comDeclaring that Oklahoma is in the midst of "an opioid abuse epidemic," Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter joined state lawmakers Wednesday in announcing support for a resolution to form an Oklahoma Commission on Opioid Abuse. "In the last three years, alone, there have been 2,684 opioid related deaths in the state that have been reported," Hunter said. That likely understates the true number, because not every death results in an autopsy or toxicology screen, he said.
