What's new on 'Cue: Two of Oklahoma's premier pitmasters come to OKC for event

Last week, with local meteorologists rapt in radar, Head Country Bar-B-Q's Paul Schatte motored into Oklahoma City from Ponca City and The Butcher BBQ Stand's Levi Bouska from Wellston to show a private group of eager gourmands that barbecue isn't confined to ribs, pulled pork, chicken quarters or sliced brisket. This being Oklahoma and the calendar reading May meant the event was always going to be imperiled by bad weather. Oklahoma skies didn't disappoint, but neither did two of Oklahoma's premier pitmasters. And thanks to the expanded showroom at American Propane, 7401 N Broadway Extension, the party under the cabana transitioned inside without a hitch.
