I attended the Luzerne County Wine & Food Festival in Dallas. A Pennsylvania state trooper was present at the entrance gate. In order for me to be admitted (I am 70), I was required by the trooper to present my driver’s license, which I did. The trooper immediately scanned my license into a electronic device. The date and time of my attendance at the event had now become part of an official, state-maintained database of persons attending wine festivals. This is not a complaint against the officer.
