Giants’ Sunday: Updates on Strickland, Nuñez, Bumgarner

Giants’ Sunday: Updates on Strickland, Nuñez, Bumgarner Not much action Sunday morning at the Not-OK Corral, where the Giants will try to win for the second time in two weeks and avoid a series sweep. Matt Moore, coming off his best start in a while, faces winless Mets pitcher Rafael Montero. Yoenis Cespedes is not playing, and there was much cheering. Hunter Strickland is officially back from suspension. Manager Bruce Bochy said there are no immediate plans to add a position player at the expense of a reliever. Bochy expects him back when he is eligible to return Friday in Pittsburgh. Madison Bumgarner has begun swinging a bat in Arizona. Oh yeah, he's also supposed to pitch in his first game Sunday afternoon, in the Rookie League down there. Bryan Stow is at the ballpark and chatted with Bochy in the dugout. Bochy said Stow's visit are always uplifting, though "he could get a better jersey." No matter what happens on the field at AT&T, the Mets writers have their story. Tim Tebow and his ferocious .222 batting average have been promoted to the club's high Class A team in Port St.
