Two people died in crashes in El Paso and Teller counties late Thursday, authorities reported. A single-vehicle crash just before 10 p.m. in the 400 block of East Carr Avenue in Cripple Creek killed a 41-year-old man, police said. The man, whose identity has not been released, died at the scene. Also on Thursday, a 19-year-old died in a head-on collision near Ellicott, Colorado State Patrol said. Luis Casillas, of Rush, was driving a Hyundai westbound on Highway 94 when the vehicle swerved into the eastbound lane and crashed into a Ford F-150, State Patrol said.
