More than 1,200 customers were without power Monday night east of North Academy Boulevard between Austin Bluffs Parkway and North Carefree Circle, Colorado Springs Utilities reported. The outage happened about 8:40 p.m., and power is expected to be restored by 1 a.m. A Utilities spokeswoman said she did not know what had caused the outage.
