Trump delivered a wide-ranging, 76-minute long speech at a campaign rally at the Phoenix Convention Center in August, despite calls from Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton for the president cancel the event. Trump's visit to the city cost $450,000 in overtime costs, most of which were incurred by the Phoenix Police Department, according to the Arizona Republic. "We do what it takes to protect the president of the United States when he visits Phoenix," Stanton told the Arizona Republic. In total, the police department incurred $336,887 in expenses.
