The script for Warner Bros. and DC's upcoming Joker movie is reportedly nearing completion, and the film could begin shooting as early as next year. Variety film reporter Justin Kroll took to Twitter to say he's heard the script for the film "will be turned in by next week." Kroll notes this is "super fast" when considering reports of a Joker origin movie surfaced less than a month ago, and "bodes well for 2018 shoot." The Hangover's Todd Phillips is said to be attached as both writer and director on the film, which will detail the origins of The Joker.
