Boston’s first cat café opened on Saturday, overcoming cat fights on social media and half a dozen animal cruelty complaints filed with the city in the weeks leading up to the opening. Purr Cat Café had initially hoped to open at 167 Chestnut Hill Ave in Brighton in August, where patrons pay $15 an hour to spend time with cats.
