Comment on Air experts: Smoke from Southern California fires drifting into Bay Area

As weather conditions remain dry throughout the Bay Area, officials issued a Spare the Air alert through the weekend and warned that smoke from multiple Southern California fires was drifting into the region. Smoke from wildfires ravaging Los Angeles and Ventura counties was traveling north Thursday afternoon, said Carolina Walburn, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. “It is moving up the Peninsula right now,” Walbrun said.
