14 steps to a better performance review

There is a mixed bag of thoughts on the dreaded performance review. In the past it was more of a “got you” session than one of providing a career growth path. Managers wouldn’t say much to employees on a day-to-day basis. They "saved" misdeeds employees did until the review period — then pounced on an employee like a cat going after a mouse.
