The Oakland University Credit Union is making plans to donate $1 million over the next five years to Oakland University to assist students in paying for study abroad opportunities. The majority of the gift, announced at the most recent Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, Dec. 11, will be turned into an endowed fund, creating about $44,325 in annual funding for study abroad scholarships by the last year of the donation process.
