Bay Area native Nathaniel Crosby, the 1981 U.S. Amateur champion and son of famed singer/entertainer Bing Crosby, has landed a prestigious position in amateur golf circles — captain of the U.S. Walker Cup team. The USGA officially will name Crosby as 2019 captain on Wednesday afternoon. The event will be held in September 2019 at Royal Liverpool in Hoylake, England. Crosby, 56, was born in Hillsborough and graduated from Burlingame High School.
