A California Highway Patrol officer was injured in a traffic collision in Concord on Monday evening, the agency said. The crash occured at 6:15 p.m. at eastbound State Route 4 and Port Chicago Highway, the CHP said. The officer suffered major injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening. The officer was taken to a hospital for treatment.
