Iowa Renewable Energy has partnered with a Pennsylvania-based biofuels producer to manufacture and market biodiesel in Washington County.Lake Erie Biofuels, doing business as HERO BX, announced Tuesday the partnership with IRE, which marks the latest expansion for the Erie, Pa., producer.HERO BX already has expanded production into Alabama and New Hampshire, Samuel Black III, HERO BX founder and CEO, said in the news release.“To be operating in Iowa — America’s epicenter for renewable energy — allows HERO BX to operate together with some of the pioneers who helped build this great industry,” Black said in the release.“Iowa Renewable Energy is thrilled to be partnering with HERO BX and joining their growing national network of biodiesel supply and distribution,” Ron Lutovsky, IRE’s chief operating officer, said in the news release.
