GE to end more than 100-year run on Dow; Walgreens added

LOS ANGELES (AP) — General Electric will be dropped from the Dow Jones industrial average next week, ending the industrial conglomerate's more than 100-year run in the 30-company blue chip index. S&P Dow Jones Indices said Tuesday that GE will be removed from index before the open of trading next Tuesday.Read more on NewsOK.com

S. companies would no longer be able to bar employees from taking jobs with competitors under a rule approved by a federal agency Tuesday, though the rule is sure to be challenged in court. The Federal Trade Commission voted Tuesday 3-2 to ban measures known as noncompete agreements, which bar workers from jumping to or starting competing companies for a prescribed period of time.
