Trump's cold shoulder toward Cohen not only raises the financial burden on him, but it also decreases his loyalty to the president, experts said. One Department of Justice (DOJ) veteran said it was "baffling" that Trump is not doing more to help Cohen financially, given the criminal exposure he faces if Cohen flips. Another former DOJ lawyer said it wasn't surprising, given Trump's hubris until now.
