Toni Collette, Merritt Wever, Kaitlyn Dever join Netflix limited series The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Oscar nominee Toni Collette (The Sixth Sense, United States of Tara), Emmy winner Merritt Wever (Nurse Jackie, The Walking Dead, Godless) and Kaitlyn Dever (Justified, Detroit) have joined An Unbelievable Story of Rape, a Netflix original limited series. The eight-episode series is based on This American Life radio episode “Anatomy of Doubt” as well as the Pulitzer Prize-winning article by the Marshall Project and ProPublic, which tells the true story of Marie, a teenager who was charged with lying about having been raped and the two female detectives who followed a twisting path at the truth. Collette and Wever play the two detectives as they hunt for a possible serial rapist.
