Comment on Oakland hires Waterfield as athletic director

ROCHESTER, Mich. >> Oakland University has hired Steven Waterfield as its new athletic director.The school announced the move Tuesday. Waterfield arrives after serving as an executive associate AD at Nebraska.Waterfield replaces Jeff Konya, who left in February for Northeastern."I am honored and humbled to join the Oakland University family, and I am incredibly grateful to President (Ora Hirsch) Pescovitz for her confidence in me," Waterfield said in a statement.
