Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) was victorious in Tuesday night's Vermont Democratic Senate primary, easily defeating Folasade Adeluola. With 69.5 percent of precincts reporting, Sanders has 94.5 percent of the vote, compared to Adeluola with 5.5 percent. As he has done in the past, Sanders has said he will turn down the nomination in to run as an independent. Sanders, who ran for president in 2016 as a Democrat, is a member of the Senate's Democratic caucus.
