Comment on Three injured in structure fire on Blairsferry Road

Three people were injured and transported to the hospital after a structure fire at 2131 Blairsferry Rd. NE.According to a news release, police officers responded to a reported structure fire, with people stuck inside, at around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday.The Cedar Rapids Fire Department, Area Ambulance Service, Hiawatha Police Department and Hiawatha Rescue and the Red Cross also assisted in this incident.Upon arrival, the first Cedar Rapids Fire Department crew decided to pull a line to attack the fire while on scene police officers used ladders to assist occupants out of a 3rd story window, according to a news release.
