Driver arrested for allegedly striking traffic flagger with pickup in Camas

A 58-year-old man was arrested for felony hit-and-run Friday after allegedly getting into a verbal dispute with a traffic flagger and striking the flagger with his pickup, according to the Camas Police Department. The flagger, whose identity was not released, suffered non life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver for further examination, police said in a news release. At about 1:40 p.m., Philip Lauritzen was driving a Ford pickup when he entered a construction zone near the intersection of Northeast 35th Avenue and Northeast Everett Street.
