Hyatt Hotels to acquire Colorado-based Two Roads Hospitality in $480 million deal

Englewood-based Two Roads Hospitality, an international hotel management company, will become part of Hyatt Hotels Corp. in a $480 million deal announced Monday. Hyatt said the purchase will include the potential to invest up to an additional $120 million, contingent on terms to be defined after closing. With the acquisition of  Two Roads, which has 85 properties in eight countries, Hyatt will expand its presence into 23 new markets, company officials said in a statement. “Hyatt and Two Roads share a commitment to genuine care and delivering distinctive experiences to discerning travelers,” said Mark Hoplamazian, Hyatt Hotels president and CEO. Balance of power shifting in metro Denver’s housing market After the close of the transaction, expected later this year, Hyatt plans to create a dedicated lifestyle division as a catalyst to bring together the operations of Two Roads’ and Hyatt’s lifestyle brands. “Hyatt is an ideal home for us as we share many values and a deep commitment to thoughtful growth and creating compelling experiences for our guests,” said Jamie Sabatier, Two Roads’ CEO. Two Roads Hospitality formed in 2016 when Commune Hotels and Resorts and Destination Hotels merged.
