Designated Survivor adds Anthony Edwards and Julie White Following its cancellation by ABC in May, Netflix swiftly revived Designated Survivor for a third season and has now added Anthony Edwards and Julie White to recurring roles for the next chapter in the series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. RELATED: Netflix Revives Designated Survivor For a Third Season The former ER and Top Gun star will reunite with showrunner Neal Baer, the fifth for the series, as Mars Harper, the chief of staff who is likable and folksy and respected by both sides of the political spectrum.
