JMI Equity closes $1.2 billion fund for investing in software companies

JMI Equity closed a $1.2 billion fund focused on investing in high-growth software companies, surpassing the amount raised by a similar fund four years ago. The fund, called JMI IX, is the largest ever closed by the firm and exceeded its target. JMI, which has offices in Baltimore and San Diego, has raised more than $4 billion since its inception in 1992.
