Comment on Woman accidentally shot during fight at Lake in the Hills home, police say

A Lake in the Hills woman accused of accidentally shooting another woman during a dispute over the weekend was released Tuesday from the McHenry County Jail. Lake in the Hills police responded at 4:18 a.m. Saturday to the 400 block of Plum Road after a report of a woman who had been shot, according to a news release. Officers determined that 26-year-old Alexandria Farrington unintentionally shot a 29-year-old woman she knew in the left shoulder, the release stated. The situation began when Farrington allegedly retrieved a Sig Sauer 9 mm handgun and waved it in the other woman's direction, according to a criminal complaint filed in McHenry County court Monday.
