Defense, prosecution make closing arguments in John D. Williams murder trial

The state’s lead prosecutor told the jury Tuesday morning that John D. Williams “knew exactly what he was doing” when he shot and killed Cpl. Eugene Cole in the early morning hours of April 25, 2018. “John Williams knows exactly what happens when you put a .9 mm to a person’s neck and pull the trigger,” Deputy Attorney General Lisa Marchese told jurors during her nearly 40-minute closing argument Tuesday morning.
