State Rep. Steve Reick to enter plea in DUI case

State Rep. Steve Reick is scheduled to enter a plea Aug. 30 on drunken driving charges pending against him in Sangamon County. Reick is still permitted to drive after his May 2 arrest, but must blow into a Breathalyzer in order to start the vehicle's engine. Illinois Secretary of State Spokesman Henry Haupt confirmed Friday that restrictions were placed on Reick's license June 17 and a Breathalyzer ignition interlock device was installed in his vehicle the following day. Reick, R–Woodstock, filed a petition in May seeking to challenge any driving restrictions, according to online Sangamon County court records.
