Trail Ridge Road, the scenic drive through Rocky Mountain National Park, officially closed for the season Thursday. The high-elevation road has temporarily closed multiple times this season as fall snowstorms dumped several inches on the park. The road will still be open to Many Parks Curve on the east side and Colorado River Trailhead on the west side, according to the park. Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved road in the country, topping out at 12,183 feet, according to the park’s website.
