As I noted last week, the recent passing of Lynne Rostochil creates a big void in the city’s preservation movement at a time when the success list is sadly offset by a growing list of endangered properties that are important to community heritage, placemaking and design. First, let’s remember we’ve had good stretch of success stories that include First National Center, the Pioneer Telephone Building, the Sunshine Cleaners building, the 21c Museum Hotel, the Heritage Building, the Tower Theatre and surrounding Uptown retail buildings, the Main Street Arcade and the Yale Theater.
