In Larissa FastHorse’s “The Thanksgiving Play,” three teachers and one hardly professional actress gather to create a thoughtful, culturally aware holiday play to be performed for elementary school kids during Native American Heritage Month. The rub: Logan, the director, and Jaxton, her collaborator and lover, are bedeviled by their check-all-the-right-boxes ethics.
