Public safety manpower and money has gotten behind the MAPS 4 campaign because "this is something we really believe in and want to make a difference," International Association of Fire Fighters Local 157 President Scott Van Horn said Thursday. "No one interacts more with neighborhoods across Oklahoma City than public safety, and most of our 911 calls are a result of the things MAPS 4 will address," he said. With Mayor David Holt out making his closing arguments, early in-person voting on MAPS 4 was underway Thursday. By 2 p.m., 2,800 absentee and early votes had been cast.Read more on NewsOK.com
