A Monson man has been arrested on a charge of arson after he allegedly set multiple fires Wednesday morning. Quinton King, 61, is accused of setting fire to four outbuildings next to his home and to a neighbor’s vehicle, according to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety. The separate fires started in two locations at separate adjacent addresses on Nana’s Lane in Monson, McCausland said. “The buildings and vehicle were destroyed by the fires,” McCausland said. King was taken to the Piscataquis County Jail in Dover-Foxcroft and is expected to make a court appearance on Monday, he added. The State Fire Marshal’s Office also is looking into circumstances involving a pickup truck owned by King, which also was damaged by fire, McCausland said.
