Wisconsin hotel revenue drops $82 million in March because of Covid-19

Milwaukee County hotels saw room and food sales slashed in half in March compared with last year, marking another sign of how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the hospitality industry. According to sales tax figures the state released Tuesday, Milwaukee County hotels reported about $11.9 million in sales on room rentals and food and beverage for March 2020, compared with $24.2 million in the same month of 2019.
